Rocky Mountain Oils Sacred Frankincense has made strides in recent years. Customers use this oil due to its rich, warm, woody and slightly spicy aroma. This oil is steam distilled from Oman and is a high quality oil. It should be noted that this is not certified therapeutic grade oil and Rocky Mountain is not proactive in providing oil education on how to best use their products. The Elementa Oils may be considered a “lower quality oil” in comparison to other brands and it is not a Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oil.

deSensua Frankincense uses the Boswellia carteri, like many oil companies do in order to reduce the cost of production. Similar to other Boswellia carteri oils, there have been complaints regarding the smell the oil produces. It is also important to mention that there is no purity certification nor mention of it being Therapeutic Grade oil.

Nature's Fusions also uses the Boswellia carteri, which makes the oil more affordable, but will not compete with the higher quality oils. Those who have been unsatisfied with this oil claim that it produces an aroma that resembles a citronella candle. There is no purity certification or Therapeutic Grade, but it may be a more affordable option.

Numa's Frankincense Trinity Essential Oil contains 3 forms of frankincense -  Boswellia frerean, Boswellia carterii and Boswellia serrata. What many like about this oil is that it possesses a clean, citrus aroma. What many dislike is that it has a more "chemical" smell which is common in less pure Frankincense oils. Like we mentioned earlier, you get what you pay for. If you want to reap all of the benefits of Frankincense then you will want the most potent and pure oil available. Unfortunately, this one isn't it.

Some have wondered if this website has been created by created by dōTERRA. This is not true.
We state this because we have selected dōTERRA’s Frankincense oil as our #1 rated essential oil.
